Roll Cage Safety Course
Online 300-hour course in roll cage safety. 6 modules with Appendix J of the FIA International Sporting Code, Article 253 (safety equipment), Appendix J of the FIA International Sporting Code, Article 283 (safety equipment for off-road vehicles) and SolidWorks. Assigned tutor and open enrolment.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this field. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Explain the function of the roll cage as an occupant protection system.
Select tubes and materials in accordance with technical regulations.
Apply the geometric requirements and mandatory elements of the cage.
Plan the manufacture, bending and welding of the structure.
Validate the cage through calculation and verification of regulatory loads.
Inspect an in-service cage to detect damage and non-conformities.
Develop the design of a roll cage for a competition off-road vehicle.

How you'll learn
100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and a assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, making it possible to combine with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is SolidWorks, ANSYS Mechanical, Autodesk Fusion, Bend-Tech, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real technical verification procedures for homologated cages, visual and dimensional inspection of welds, and calculation of static loads on the structure. Assessment is continuous by module plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
