Postgraduate Diploma in Conservation of Long-Term Storage and Recommissioning
800-hour online Postgraduate Diploma in Conservation of Long-Term Storage and Recommissioning. 8 modules covering EN 15757 (temperature and humidity conditions for cultural property), EN 16893 (buildings for heritage storage) and advanced Excel. Assigned tutor and enrolment open.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this field. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Explain the deterioration mechanisms during periods of inactivity.
Prepare a vehicle for prolonged storage.
Control the storage environment and its environmental parameters.
Apply periodic conservation routines.
Inspect the vehicle before recommissioning.
Carry out a controlled and safe recommissioning.
Restore fuel, brake and cooling systems after inactivity.

How you'll learn
Training is 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the enrolment period, which makes it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Advanced Excel, Hioki/Testo Saveris (environmental logging), Fusion 360, Power BI, in free, academic or trial versions. Tests are studied using real procedures for temperature and humidity logging in warehouses, endoscopic inspection of cylinders and controlled recommissioning on a test bench. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Explain the deterioration mechanisms during periods of inactivity.
Prepare a vehicle for prolonged storage.
Control the storage environment and its environmental parameters.
Apply periodic conservation routines.
Inspect the vehicle before recommissioning.
