How you'll learn
100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine the course with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is WABCO TOOLBOX, Knorr-Bremse NEO, MATLAB/Simulink, advanced Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real roller brake tester procedures for heavy vehicles, a pneumatic valve test bench, and measurement of pressures and response times. Assessment is continuous across modules, plus a final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Explain how a complete air brake circuit works.
Analyse the production, drying and regulation of compressed air.
Identify the functions of control, relay and protection valves.
Adjust actuators, cylinders and drum and disc brakes.
Diagnose electronic ABS and EBS braking systems.
