Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

Delivered 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and a dedicated technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the enrolment period, making it easy to combine with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is ROS (Robot Operating System), Gazebo, EIVA NaviSuite, QPS Qinsy, MATLAB/Simulink, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Case studies are based on real procedures for planning a ROV inspection campaign, processing INS-DVL navigation data, and simulating the control of an underwater vehicle. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus a final integrative project.

Accredited laboratories(EN ISO/IEC 17025) with rotor rig, EMC/Lightning pre-compliance, HIL/SIL, vibration/acoustics.
Evidence-oriented final project:safety case, test plan, compliance dossier and operational limits.
Industry mentoring:lecturers with experience in training, , eVTOL/UAM and flight test.
Flexible format(hybrid/online), international cohorts and support from SEIUM Career Services.
Ethics and safety:a safety-by-design approach, with OT cyber security, DIH and compliance as its pillars.

Frequently asked questions

The programme totals 300 hours, spread over 3 to 5 months. That works out to between 10 and 15 hours per week on average, compatible with a full-time job.

You will work with ROS (Robot Operating System), Gazebo, EIVA NaviSuite, QPS Qinsy, MATLAB/Simulink. Free, academic or evaluation versions are used, and the tutor will indicate the open-source alternative where one exists.

An SEIUM own diploma upon passing the continuous assessment and the integrative project. This is in-house training, not an official qualification from the Ministry.

Yes. Modules passed in a Course or Postgraduate Diploma in the same area are recognised towards the higher programme. Check the recognition policy when you enrol.
