Blue Economy and Maritime Sustainability Course
The SEIUM Institute's Blue Economy and Maritime Sustainability course is a 100 % online 300-hour programme, structured into 4 modules and 24 submodules.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this programme. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Master the technical fundamentals of blue economy and maritime sustainability and their regulatory vocabulary.
Apply SOLAS, MARPOL Annex VI and the Load Lines Convention to real design and validation decisions.
Build and correlate calculation models with NAPA and Maxsurf.
Plan and carry out test campaigns in hydrodynamic towing tanks and cavitation tunnels.
Analyse operational data and translate it into engineering decisions.
Prepare the technical and compliance dossier required by the client or regulator.
Lead a blue economy and maritime sustainability project technically from start to finish.

How you'll learn
100 % online training on the SEIUM Institute campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetable: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine the programme with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is NAPA, Maxsurf, Rhino + Orca3D, ShipConstructor, ANSYS AQWA, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures from hydrodynamic towing tanks, cavitation tunnels and propulsion test benches. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus the final integrative project.
