Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

Training is 100 % online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine the programme with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is ETAS INCA, AVL IndiCom, MATLAB/Simulink, Vector CANape, GT-SUITE, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures: ignition sweep up to knock with in-cylinder pressure indication, lambda control calibration on an engine test bench, and validation of knock control with fuels of different octane ratings. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final integrative project.

Accreditable laboratories(EN ISO/IEC 17025) with rotor bench, EMC/Lightning pre-compliance, HIL/SIL, vibration/acoustics.
Evidence-driven Master's Thesis:safety case, test plan, compliance dossier and operational limits.
Industry mentoring:lecturers with a track record in training, , eVTOL/UAM and flight test.
Flexible format(hybrid/online), international cohorts and support from SEIUM Career Services.
Ethics and safety:a safety-by-design approach, cyber-OT, DIH and compliance as its pillars.

Frequently asked questions

The programme totals 800 hours spread over 6 to 8 months. That is an average of 10 to 15 hours per week, compatible with full-time work.

The programme uses ETAS INCA, AVL IndiCom, MATLAB/Simulink, Vector CANape, GT-SUITE. Free, academic or evaluation versions are used, and the tutor indicates the free alternative where one exists.

An SEIUM Institute diploma upon passing the continuous assessment and the integrative project. This is in-house training, not an official qualification from the Ministry.

Yes. Modules passed in a course or postgraduate diploma in the same area can be recognised towards the higher programme. Check the recognition policy when you enrol.
