Mechanical Injection Mixture Tuning Course
300-hour online course in mixture tuning for mechanical injection. 6 modules with ISO 1585 (engine net power test code), ISO 4113 (calibration fluid for injection equipment) and Advanced Excel. Assigned tutor and open enrolment.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this field. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Explain how petrol mechanical injection systems operate.
Carry out the mechanical checks prior to tuning.
Measure the mixture with a gas analyser and lambda sensor.
Adjust the pump, the three-dimensional cam and the injector setting.
Diagnose and repair the system's common faults.
Adapt the tuning to the current fuel.
Plan the preventive maintenance of the system.

How you'll learn
100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: learners progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine the programme with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The software used is Advanced Excel, MATLAB, Gas analyser with logging software, Innovate LogWorks (wideband lambda sensor), in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures on injection pump test benches, mixture measurement with a wideband lambda sensor, and power bench testing. Assessment is continuous per module, plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.

Frequently asked questions
The programme totals 300 hours, spread over 3 to 5 months. That is an average of 10 to 15 hours per week, compatible with a full-time job.
Work is carried out with Advanced Excel, MATLAB, Gas analyser with logging software, Innovate LogWorks (wideband lambda sensor). Free, academic or evaluation versions are used, and the tutor indicates the free alternative where one exists.
An own SEIUM diploma upon passing the continuous assessment and the integrating project. It is in-house training, not an official qualification from the Ministry.
Yes. Modules passed in a course or postgraduate diploma in the same area are recognised in the advanced programme. Check the recognition policy when you enrol.
