Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, making it compatible with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is SAP2000, Midas Civil, Response-2000, CSI Bridge and Sika CarboDur Design, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied on real procedures such as flexural strengthening of a beam with carbon laminates, external post-tensioning of a beam bridge deck and steel jacketing of columns for a change of use. Assessment is continuous by module plus the final integrating project.

Standards covered: ACI 440.2R-17, CNR-DT 200 R1/2013, fib Bulletin 90, Real Decreto 470/2021, UNE-EN 1504, EAD 160004-00-0301, EN 1992-1-1, EN 1993-1-1.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of ACI 440.2R-17, CNR-DT 200 R1/2013 and fib Bulletin 90 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:SAP2000, Midas Civil, Response-2000, CSI Bridge and Sika CarboDur Design, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:a complete structural strengthening project, from initial diagnosis and alternatives to FRP and post-tensioning design, specifications, quality control plan and budget, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
