How you'll learn
Fully 100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE, ETAP, Vector CANoe, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures for designing protection strategies in electric vehicles, validating insulation monitors and diagnosing faults in high-voltage systems. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Describe the protection architecture of the vehicle's high-voltage systems.
Apply insulation monitoring techniques in line with IEC 61557-8.
Select suitable protection for charging infrastructure.
Carry out protection coordination and selectivity studies.
Diagnose faults using model-based and data-based methods.
