How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, making it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is OpenFAST, PLAXIS, SACS, OrcaFlex, ANSYS Mechanical, in free, academic or evaluation versions. The practicals are studied using real procedures for hydrodynamic load analysis, marine geotechnical studies and cable laying planning. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Characterise the marine environment and the loads on offshore structures.
Interpret marine geotechnical surveys.
Size fixed monopile and jacket foundations.
Understand the design of floating wind platforms and moorings.
Design export and interconnection cable systems.
