How you'll learn
Training 100 % online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded lectures and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is MATLAB/Simulink, MSC Adams, Python with NumPy and SciPy, Siemens Simcenter Testlab, 2D Datarecording, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures for kinematic calculation of link systems, actuator rig testing and frequency analysis of suspension responses. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Analyse rear suspension link systems.
Calculate the kinematics and progressivity of a mechanism.
Select springs according to the target wheel rate.
Design actuator rig tests for motorcycles.
Analyse suspension responses in the frequency domain.

Frequently asked questions
The programme comprises 800 hours in total, spread over 6 to 8 months. That is an average of 10 to 15 hours per week, compatible with a full-time job.
The course uses MATLAB/Simulink, MSC Adams, Python with NumPy and SciPy, Siemens Simcenter Testlab, 2D Datarecording. Free, academic or evaluation versions are used, and the tutor indicates the free alternative where one exists.
An SEIUM Institute diploma upon passing the continuous assessment and the integrative project. It is in-house training, not an official qualification from the Ministry.
Yes. Modules passed in a course or postgraduate diploma in the same area are recognised in the higher-level programme. Check the recognition policy when you enrol.
