How you'll learn
Fully 100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded lectures and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it compatible with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The software used is MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS Mechanical, Simcenter Testlab, MSC Adams, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real vibration-platform procedures, experimental modal analysis and on-vehicle measurements. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Model single- and multi-degree-of-freedom vibration systems.
Assess the effects of vibration on health and comfort.
Design seats and seat suspensions to reduce transmitted vibration.
Select elastomeric and metallic anti-vibration mounts.
Compare passive, semi-active and active isolation solutions.

Frequently asked questions
The programme totals 800 hours over 6 to 8 months. That is between 10 and 15 hours a week on average, compatible with a full-time job.
The programme uses MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS Mechanical, Simcenter Testlab and MSC Adams. Free, academic or evaluation versions are used, and the tutor indicates the free alternative where one exists.
A SEIUM own diploma, awarded on passing the continuous assessment and the integrative project. It is in-house training, not an official qualification from the Spanish Ministry.
Yes. Modules passed in a course or postgraduate diploma in the same area are recognised towards the higher programme. Please check the recognition policy when you enrol.
