How you'll learn
Fully 100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, making it easy to combine with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is ANSYS Fluent, Siemens Simcenter STAR-CCM+, SolidWorks Flow Simulation, Altair OptiStruct, GT-SUITE, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real design procedures for cold plates for high-power packs, selection of dielectric fluids for immersion, and leak and pressure validation. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Apply heat transfer fundamentals to cold plate design.
Design channel geometries using thermal and hydraulic criteria.
Select manufacturing processes for cold plates.
Simulate cold plates using conjugate CFD.
Evaluate dielectric fluids for immersion cooling.
