How you'll learn
Training 100 % online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetable: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine the course with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is KISSsoft, Romax Spectrum, MSC Adams, Ansys Mechanical, Siemens NX, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures: FZG gear scuffing tests on a machine, clutch durability on a bench with start cycles, and measurement of lever effort and gear-lever effort. Assessment is continuous by module plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Size multi-plate oil-bath clutches for motorcycles.
Design anti-hopping and assist mechanisms based on ramps.
Analyse the architecture and components of a sequential gearbox.
Calculate gears in accordance with ISO and AGMA standards.
Design reliable and precise selection mechanisms.
