Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, so you can combine it with your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Altium Designer, Ansys Sherlock, MATLAB/Simulink, SiliconExpert and LTspice, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practical work is based on real procedures: comparative analysis of environmental and regulatory requirements across sectors, qualification test planning for electronic boards and intrinsic safety assessment of equipment for explosive atmospheres. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: IEC 61850-3, ECSS-Q-ST-60C, MIL-STD-810H, IEC 60079-11, AEC-Q100, IPC-A-610, ISO 11783, IEC 60601-1.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of IEC 61850-3, ECSS-Q-ST-60C and MIL-STD-810H applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Altium Designer, Ansys Sherlock, MATLAB/Simulink, SiliconExpert and LTspice, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:The technical and certification plan for an electronic product in a chosen vertical market, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
