How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and a dedicated technical tutor. No fixed timetable: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it compatible with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is PicoScope 7, Fluke Connect, QElectroTech, KiCad, advanced Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real test-bench procedures for dynamos and regulators, oscilloscope diagnosis on the vehicle, and wiring harness verification. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Interpret the wiring diagrams and colour codes of Lucas installations.
Apply a systematic electrical diagnosis method using a multimeter and oscilloscope.
Test and repair dynamos, control regulators and starter motors.
Diagnose faults in contact-breaker ignition and in the electric fuel pump.
Check lighting, controls and accessories against homologation requirements.
