Leaf Spring Suspension Course: Dismantling and Adjustment
Online course of 300 hours in leaf spring suspension: dismantling and adjustment. 6 modules covering EN 10089 (hot-rolled steel for hardened springs), SAE J2441 (shot peening for prestressing) and advanced Excel. Assigned tutor and open enrolment.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this field. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Explain how leaf spring suspensions work.
Dismantle leaf springs safely by controlling the stored energy.
Diagnose fatigued, cracked or sagging leaves.
Rebuild the leaf pack with suitable leaves, clamps and bushes.
Fit and adjust ride heights and torque on the vehicle.
Apply anti-corrosion protection and lubrication between leaves.
Plan maintenance according to vehicle use.

How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetable: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine the course with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is advanced Excel, Fusion 360, ANSYS Mechanical, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures for measuring leaf spring arch and stiffness, inspecting leaves for cracks, and fitting and adjusting heights on the vehicle. Assessment is continuous, by module, plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
