Dimensional Control in Reproduction Parts Course
Online 300-hour course in dimensional control of reproduction parts. 6 modules covering ISO 1101 (geometrical tolerances), ISO 2768-1 (general tolerances) and PC-DMIS. Assigned tutor and open enrolment.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this programme. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Define dimensional acceptance criteria for reproduction parts.
Interpret drawings with ISO dimensional and geometrical tolerances.
Select appropriate inspection instruments and fixtures.
Carry out incoming sampling plans and inspection.
Apply decision rules that account for measurement uncertainty.
Verify parts functionally through trial assembly.
Manage non-conformities and continuous improvement with suppliers.

How you'll learn
100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetable: the learner progresses at their own pace within the intake, which allows it to be combined with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is PC-DMIS, Calypso (ZEISS), Minitab, advanced Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real incoming inspection procedures with callipers and micrometers, coordinate measuring machine measurement, and trial fitting on the vehicle. Assessment is continuous by module plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
