How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the enrolment period, which makes it possible to combine the course with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is LabVIEW, DIAdem, MATLAB, advanced Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures on roller brake testers at ITV stations, development roller test benches, and braking efficiency and imbalance tests. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus a final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Explain the physical fundamentals of braking and tyre-roller adhesion.
Describe the operation and calibration of roller brake testers.
Apply brake testing procedures in technical inspection.
Interpret the performance requirements of UN Regulations R13 and R13-H.
Plan bench tests for the development of brake systems.
