Course in Abrasive Blasting and Cleaning Techniques

The Course in Applied Ergonomics for User Safety provides key knowledge on the interaction between people and their environment, focusing on injury prevention and optimising wellbeing in various contexts, including the workplace. It explores principles of ergonomic design, risk assessment and environmental adaptation to improve safety and efficiency. The course covers topics such as anthropometry, biomechanics and occupational psychology, enabling participants to apply methodologies to identify and mitigate ergonomic risk factors. The aim is to train professionals capable of promoting safe and productive environments, reducing the incidence of musculoskeletal disorders and improving the quality of life of users.

The programme includes the study of ergonomic assessment tools, such as workplace analysis, use of checklists and design of ergonomic solutions adapted to different sectors. It focuses on compliance with current occupational health and safety regulations and provides the skills needed to implement and manage ergonomics programmes. Participants will develop the ability to carry out ergonomic diagnoses, propose improvements and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, preparing them for roles as ergonomists, occupational risk prevention technicians and ergonomics consultants, with a direct impact on reducing accidents and improving productivity.

Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetable: the student progresses at their own pace within the intake, making it possible to combine with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Elcometer ElcoMaster, advanced Excel, AutoCAD, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real blasting cabinet procedures, roughness profile measurement with replica tape, and visual inspection against preparation grades. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final integrating project.

Accredited laboratories(EN ISO/IEC 17025) with rotor test rig, EMC/Lightning pre-compliance, HIL/SIL, vibration/acoustics.
Evidence-based Master's Thesis:safety case, test plan, compliance dossier and operational limits.
Industry mentoring:lecturers with experience in training, , eVTOL/UAM and flight test.
Flexible format(hybrid/online), international cohorts and support from SEIUM Career Services.
Ethics and safety:a safety-by-design approach, with OT cyber, DIH and compliance as pillars.
