Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, making it compatible with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Autodesk Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Enscape and AutoCAD, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Exercises are based on real procedures: designing a cruise ship suite with a modular solution, coordinating services in a cabin module and evaluating a full-scale prototype. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final capstone project.

Standards covered: SOLAS Chapter II-2, FTP Code, IMO Resolution MSC.337(91), ISO 7547, ISO 20283-5, MSC/Circ.735, DNV COMF notation, Directive 2014/90/EU.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of SOLAS Chapter II-2, the FTP Code and IMO Resolution MSC.337(91) applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Autodesk Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Enscape and AutoCAD, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:the architectural project for a premium cabin, from functional brief and modular solution to finishes, cost and weight estimate, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
