How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the enrolment period, which makes it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Materialise Magics, Autodesk Netfabb, Ansys Additive, nTop, Altair Inspire, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures for computed tomography, tensile tests on printed specimens and powder characterisation. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Explain the fundamentals of metal powder bed fusion.
Characterise metal powder and manage its reuse.
Optimise laser power, speed, layer thickness and scan strategy parameters.
Design parts and supports according to design rules for PBF.
Plan thermal, HIP and machining post-processing.
