How you'll learn
Fully 100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Maxsurf, Rhino 3D, DELFTship, HydroComp NavCad, advanced Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real stability and buoyancy test procedures, noise measurements during navigation and exhaust emission tests. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Interpret the essential requirements of Directive 2013/53/EU.
Apply ISO 12215 to hull scantlings.
Assess stability and buoyancy in accordance with ISO 12217.
Verify the requirements for electrical, fuel and steering systems.
Plan exhaust emissions and noise tests.
