How you'll learn
100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Adobe Lightroom, ExifTool, Forensically, Tropy, Zotero, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practicals are based on real procedures of documentary technical photography in the studio, forensic analysis of period photographs and audit of a historical dossier. Assessment is continuous by module plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Apply a historical research methodology to a specific vehicle.
Assess photography as documentary evidence and its limitations.
Carry out documentary technical photography using standardised criteria.
Detect image manipulation through forensic analysis.
Structure a coherent and verifiable historical dossier.
