How you'll learn
Fully 100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is SimaPro, openLCA, GaBi (Sphera), advanced Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real life cycle assessment procedures for energy components, circularity assessment of designs, and end-of-life and recycling studies. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Understand the principles of the circular economy as applied to the energy sector.
Apply ecodesign methodologies to components of energy systems.
Analyse reuse and recycling strategies for photovoltaic modules.
Evaluate end-of-life options for wind turbine blades and composites.
Identify circularity requirements for batteries and power electronics.
