How you'll learn
100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetable: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it compatible with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is MTS RPC Pro, MATLAB/Simulink, MoTeC i2 Pro, nCode GlyphWorks, Adams Car, in free, academic or evaluation versions. The tests are studied using real procedures for seven-actuator rig testing, reconstruction of profiles from telemetry and assessment of vibration transmitted to the driver. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Understanding the architecture and limitations of the seven-actuator rig.
Generating input profiles representative of the track.
Calculating mechanical grip and platform metrics.
Correlating rig results with track data.
Assessing ride quality against standards.
Where this takes you

Frequently asked questions
The programme consists of 800 hours in total, spread over 6 to 8 months. That is between 10 and 15 hours a week on average, compatible with a full-time job.
You work with MTS RPC Pro, MATLAB/Simulink, MoTeC i2 Pro, nCode GlyphWorks, Adams Car. Free, academic or evaluation versions are used, and the tutor indicates the free alternative where one exists.
An SEIUM own diploma upon passing the continuous assessment and the integrative project. It is in-house training, not an official title from the Ministry.
Yes. Modules passed in a course or diploma in the same area are credited towards the advanced programme. Check the recognition policy when you enrol.
