Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

The programme is delivered 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so you can combine it with your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is NI LabVIEW, Siemens Simcenter Testlab, IBM DOORS, Minitab and Adelard ASCE, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures for planning environmental and EMC tests, building compliance matrices and laboratory accreditation. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: ISO/IEC 17025:2017; MIL-STD-810H; MIL-STD-461G; STANAG 4370; MIL-HDBK-516C; DEF STAN 00-56; ISO/IEC 17065:2012; AQAP 2110.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:NI LabVIEW, Siemens Simcenter Testlab, IBM DOORS, Minitab and Adelard ASCE, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:A conformity assessment, test and certification plan for a defence product, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
