Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, so it fits alongside your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is SimaPro, GREET, openLCA, Excel and MATLAB, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practice is based on real procedures for fuel life cycle assessment, regulatory compliance plans and economic models of SAF production. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: Regulation (EU) 2023/2405 ReFuelEU Aviation, ICAO Annex 16 Volume IV CORSIA, Directive (EU) 2023/2413 RED III, Directive (EU) 2023/958 EU ETS aviation, ASTM D7566, ASTM D4054, Def Stan 91-091, Directive (EU) 2022/2464 CSRD.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of Regulation (EU) 2023/2405 ReFuelEU Aviation, ICAO Annex 16 Volume IV CORSIA and Directive (EU) 2023/2413 RED III applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:SimaPro, GREET, openLCA, Excel and MATLAB, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:A complete green aviation implementation plan, from emissions diagnosis and regulatory analysis through SAF pathway selection, life cycle assessment and supply to the economic analysis and implementation plan, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
