Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, making it compatible with full-time work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standards and applied exercises. The working software is Vector CANoe, dSPACE, IPG CarMaker, OxTS RT-Range and Polarion ALM, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures from emergency braking type tests, intelligent speed assistance tests and audits of manufacturers' management systems. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: Regulation (EU) 2018/858 (type approval), Regulation (EU) 2019/2144 (General Safety), UN ECE R152, UN ECE R157, Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1426 (ADS), UN ECE R155, UN ECE R171, ISO/IEC 17025.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of Regulation (EU) 2018/858, the General Safety Regulation, UN ECE R152, R157 and R155 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Vector CANoe, dSPACE, IPG CarMaker, OxTS RT-Range and Polarion ALM, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:A complete international type-approval project, from vehicle definition and requirements by market to type test plan, cybersecurity, ADS/ALKS plan, consumer assessment and budget, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
