Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so the programme fits around your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Siemens TIA Portal, Wireshark, Node-RED, UaExpert and InfluxDB, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures: configuring and diagnosing Profinet and EtherNet/IP networks, integrating PLC data via OPC UA and MQTT, and designing network segmentation according to IEC 62443. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: IEC 61158, IEC 61784-2, IEC 62443-3-3, IEC 62541, ISA-95 (IEC 62264), IEC 62439-3, IEC 61918, Directive (EU) 2022/2555.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of IEC 61158, IEC 61784-2 and IEC 62443-3-3 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Siemens TIA Portal, Wireshark, Node-RED, UaExpert and InfluxDB, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:An industrial network and IIoT project for a real plant, from network architecture to cybersecurity plan and prototype, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
