Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

Training is 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so the programme can be combined with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Ansys Fluent, MSC Nastran, ZAERO, MATLAB/Simulink and IADS (Curtiss-Wright), in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures for mechanical and electrical compatibility analysis of external stores, flutter analysis of configurations and flight test planning with risk management. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final Master's Thesis.

Standards covered: MIL-HDBK-1763, MIL-STD-1760E, MIL-STD-8591, MIL-HDBK-516C, MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-882E, EMAR 21.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of MIL-HDBK-1763, MIL-STD-1760E and MIL-STD-8591 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Ansys Fluent, MSC Nastran, ZAERO, MATLAB/Simulink and IADS (Curtiss-Wright), in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Master's Thesis with defence:An external store configuration project covering compatibility requirements, aerodynamic and aeroelastic analysis, safety analysis and ground and flight test plans, defended before a panel.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
