Helmet course: certifications and materials

About our

The Helmet Course: Certifications and Materials explores the essential regulations and materials used in helmet manufacturing. It focuses on the most important safety certifications (ECE, DOT, Snell, etc.) and how these regulate helmet design and construction. The course addresses the selection and performance of different materials, such as polycarbonate, carbon fiber, and composites, in relation to impact absorption, strength, and durability. Laboratory tests that validate compliance with regulations are analyzed, and an overview of the evolution of head protection technology is provided.

The program offers a thorough understanding of the critical factors for user safety and the importance of helmet inspection and maintenance. The relationship between helmet design and its ability to protect against traumatic brain injury is explored, based on scientific research and industry standards. Participants are prepared to understand and apply the knowledge necessary for the informed selection and responsible use of helmets.
