Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

Training is 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable materials, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, making it compatible with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is LTspice, TINA-TI, Analog Devices Filter Wizard and Altium Designer, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied on real procedures for contact and air electrostatic discharge testing, characterisation of instrumentation amplifiers and filter simulation with tolerances. Assessment is continuous by module plus the final project.

Standards covered: IEC 61000-4-2:2008, ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-001 (HBM), ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-002 (CDM), IEC 61000-4-4:2012, IEC 61000-4-5:2014, ISO 10605:2023, IEC 61340-5-1:2016, ISO 7637-2:2011.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of IEC 61000-4-2:2008, ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-001 and JS-002 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:LTspice, TINA-TI, Analog Devices Filter Wizard and Altium Designer, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:a protected signal conditioning project, from sensor specification to prototype and immunity testing, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
