Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

Training is 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so the programme fits around your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original regulations and applied exercises. The working software is ENAIRE Drones, InterUSS, QGIS and UgCS, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Real procedures are studied: geographical zone analysis for real operations, simulation of strategic deconfliction in U-space and internal compliance audits of operators. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.

Standards covered: Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/664, Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947, Implementing Regulation (EU) 923/2012 (SERA), Regulation (EU) 2018/1139, Royal Decree 517/2024, Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/665, Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/666, EUROCAE ED-269.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/664, Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947 and SERA (Implementing Regulation (EU) 923/2012) applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:ENAIRE Drones, InterUSS, QGIS and UgCS, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:A low-level airspace project covering zones, operational concept, authorisations and a compliance programme, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
Capstone project

Build it end to end

Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.

Operating area and zones
Characterise the operating area and identify the applicable zones and restrictions.
Operational concept
Define the operational concept for the low-level operation.
Coordination and authorisations
Draw up the coordination and authorisation plan with the relevant services.
Compliance and risk
Design the compliance programme, risk assessment and monitoring indicators.
Final project
A documented low-level airspace project with conclusions, reviewed by your tutor.
