How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM Institute campus, with downloadable material, recorded lectures and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, making it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is AEDT (Aviation Environmental Design Tool), CadnaA, SoundPLAN, MATLAB, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures from acoustic measurement campaigns, preparation of noise maps and assessment of noise reduction procedures. Assessment is continuous by module plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Understand the fundamentals of aeronautical noise and its indicators.
Interpret the international, European and Spanish regulatory framework.
Measure and model the noise of aircraft operations.
Evaluate noise reduction measures at source and in operations.
Prepare noise maps and action plans.

Frequently asked questions
The programme comprises 300 hours in total, spread over 3 to 5 months. That is between 10 and 15 hours per week on average, compatible with full-time work.
Work is carried out with AEDT (Aviation Environmental Design Tool), CadnaA, SoundPLAN and MATLAB. Free, academic or evaluation versions are used, and the tutor will indicate a free alternative where one exists.
An own diploma from SEIUM Institute on passing the continuous assessment and the integrative project. It is in-house training, not an official qualification from the Ministry.
Yes. Modules passed in a course or postgraduate diploma in the same area are recognised towards the advanced programme. Check the recognition policy when you enrol.
