How you'll learn

The course is taught 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so you can combine it with your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standards and applied exercises. The working software is Book4Time, Autodesk Revit, SketchUp and Microsoft Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Exercises are based on real procedures: designing the layout of an onboard spa, preparing a water treatment plan for hydrotherapy and drawing up a wellness service menu. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.

Standards covered: CDC Vessel Sanitation Program Operations Manual, SOLAS Chapter II-2, Regulation (EC) 1223/2009, Regulation (EU) 528/2012, EN 15288-1, ISO 17680, MLC 2006, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 GDPR.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of the CDC Vessel Sanitation Program Operations Manual, SOLAS Chapter II-2 and Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Book4Time, Autodesk Revit, SketchUp and Microsoft Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:the complete project for a cruise ship spa, from concept and space programme to installations, service menu and business model, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
