How you'll learn
100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine the programme with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is MATLAB/Simulink, IBM DOORS, Mission Planner, ArduPilot SITL, QGIS, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied using real procedures from compliance demonstration flight campaigns, hardware-in-the-loop bench tests and SORA assessment of a specific operation. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Describe the European regulatory framework for unmanned aircraft systems.
Apply the SORA methodology to an operation in the specific category.
Identify the design requirements and class of UAS.
Plan the verification of onboard systems and software.
Design tests that demonstrate compliance with the applicable requirements.
