Course in Suspension for Classic Motorcycles

The Course in Electronic Management for Sports Motorcycles explores the administration and tuning of advanced electronic systems in high-performance motorcycles. It focuses on understanding the ECU (Electronic Control Unit), programming, engine management and performance optimisation. Topics include fuel injection, electronic ignition, sensors and actuators, as well as telemetry and diagnostic techniques. The course aims to provide the skills needed to improve the power, efficiency and manageability of sports motorcycles.

The programme usually includes practical work on test benches and the use of specialised software for ECU mapping and data analysis. Participants learn to interpret engine operating parameters and make adjustments for different riding conditions and riding styles. The training prepares technicians and engineers to diagnose problems, optimise performance and carry out maintenance on the electronic systems of sports motorcycles.

Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

A 100% online course on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the enrolment period, which makes it possible to combine study with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is MATLAB, Fusion 360, AiM Race Studio 3, Advanced Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real shock absorber test bench procedures, sag and preload measurement, and dynamic track testing. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final integrative project.

Accreditable laboratories(EN ISO/IEC 17025) with rotor test rig, EMC/Lightning pre-compliance, HIL/SIL, vibration/acoustics.
Evidence-driven Master's Thesis:safety case, test plan, compliance dossier and operational limits.
Industry mentoring:lecturers with careers in training, , eVTOL/UAM and flight test.
Flexible format(hybrid/online), international cohorts and support from SEIUM Career Services.
Ethics and safety:a safety-by-design approach, with cyber-OT, DIH and compliance as its pillars.
