Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

Training 100 % online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded lectures and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetable: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is ROS 2 (Nav2), MATLAB (Navigation Toolbox), Gazebo, Python (PyTorch), in free, academic or evaluation versions. Trials are studied through real autonomous navigation simulation procedures, collision-avoidance scenario analysis and sensor data audits. Assessment is continuous across modules, plus the final integrating project.

Accreditable laboratories(EN ISO/IEC 17025) with a rotor test rig, EMC/Lightning pre-compliance, HIL/SIL, vibration/acoustics.
Evidence-oriented Master's Thesis:safety case, test plan, compliance dossier and operational limits.
Industry-mentored:lecturers with a track record in training, , eVTOL/UAM and flight test.
Flexible format(hybrid/online), international cohorts and support from SEIUM Career Services.
Ethics and safety:safety-by-design approach, cyber-OT, IHL and compliance as pillars.

Frequently asked questions

The programme comprises 300 hours in total, spread over 3 to 5 months. That is an average of 10 to 15 hours per week, compatible with a full-time job.

Work is carried out with ROS 2 (Nav2), MATLAB (Navigation Toolbox), Gazebo, Python (PyTorch). Free, academic or evaluation versions are used, and the tutor indicates the open-source alternative where one exists.

An in-house SEIUM Institute diploma upon passing continuous assessment and the integrating project. It is in-house training, not an official qualification from the Ministry.

Yes. Modules passed in a course or postgraduate diploma in the same area are recognised towards the higher programme. Check the recognition policy when you enrol.
