Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within the intake, so it can be combined with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, Tekla Structures, Primavera P6 and Autodesk Civil 3D, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Testing is studied through real procedures for traffic closure planning with real cases, scale testing of prefabricated connections and simulation of SPMT moves. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.

Standards covered: AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, AASHTO Guide Specifications for Accelerated Bridge Construction, EN 15050, EN 13369, EN 1992-2, EN 1090-2, IAP-11.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of AASHTO LRFD, the AASHTO ABC Guide Specifications and EN 15050 applied to real cases.
Industry software:MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, Tekla Structures, Primavera P6 and Autodesk Civil 3D, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:a complete ABC bridge project, from the decision matrix and construction technique to prefabricated elements, connections, lifting plan and closure window, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
