How you'll learn

A 100% online programme on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so you can combine it with your job.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is ReflexW, GPR-SLICE, gprMax, MATGPR and QGIS, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Exercises are based on real procedures: locating buried utilities in a street, numerical modelling of reflections with gprMax and inspection of a concrete slab. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.

Standards covered: ASTM D6432, ETSI EN 302 066, ECC Decision (06)08, ASCE 38-22, CWA 14747-1, ISO 19115.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of ASTM D6432, ETSI EN 302 066, ECC Decision (06)08 and ASCE 38-22 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:ReflexW, GPR-SLICE, gprMax, MATGPR and QGIS, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:a complete GPR survey, from equipment selection and acquisition plan to processing, modelling, interpretation and technical report, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
Capstone project

Build it end to end

Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.

Objective and equipment
Define the survey objective and select the antennas and frequencies for it.
Acquisition plan
Plan grids, profiles and acquisition parameters, including field velocity measurement.
Data processing
Process the radargrams with time-zero correction, filtering, gains and migration in ReflexW.
Modelling and interpretation
Support the interpretation with gprMax models and classify results using ASCE 38 quality levels.
Final project
Write the technical report and recommendations, and present them for final review with your tutor.
