Methodology, software & labs

How you'll learn

Training is 100% online on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so the programme can be combined with work.

Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE and Aras Innovator, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Practical work is based on real procedures: definition of a programme's baselines, processing of an engineering change proposal and a physical configuration audit. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final project.

Standards covered: MIL-HDBK-61B, SAE EIA-649C, ACMP-2000, ISO 10007, ISO 10303-239 (AP239 PLCS), ASD S1000D, ASD S3000L.

Assigned technical tutor:every module ends with a deliverable that your tutor marks individually.
Standards-based learning:guided reading of MIL-HDBK-61B, SAE EIA-649C and ACMP-2000 applied to real cases, not as a theoretical annex.
Industry software:Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE and Aras Innovator, in free, academic or evaluation versions.
Final project:a complete configuration management and PLM plan for a defence product, from product structure and baselines to change control, PLM architecture and audits, reviewed by your tutor.
Flexible format:100% online, no fixed timetables, compatible with full-time work.
