How you'll learn
Fully 100 % online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetable: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Fusion 360, SolidWorks Sheet Metal, AutoCAD, Advanced Excel, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied on real English-wheel forming procedures, aluminium TIG welding and dent repair on panels. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Describe the aluminium alloys used in bodywork and their properties.
Form aluminium panels using hand tools and the English wheel.
Carry out welded, riveted and adhesive joints in aluminium.
Repair damage while avoiding steel contamination and galvanic corrosion.
Prepare and protect aluminium surfaces before finishing.
