Sequential gearbox course for motorcycles
Online course of 300 hours in sequential motorcycle gearboxes. 6 modules covering motorcycle gearbox principles, the sequential selection mechanism, electronically assisted shifting, racing gearboxes and diagnosis and maintenance, with ISO 6336, Regulation (EU) No 168/2013 and KISSsoft, with an assigned technical tutor.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this field. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Describe the mechanical operation of a sequential motorcycle gearbox.
Calculate gear ratios and final gearing.
Adjust the linkage and shift pattern.
Calibrate a quickshifter and an assisted downshift system.
Compare racing solutions such as the seamless gearbox.
Diagnose faults and wear in gearboxes.
Design a gearbox tailored to a specific category.

How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: you progress at your own pace within each intake, so you can combine it with your job.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is KISSsoft, SolidWorks, MATLAB/Simulink, 2D Datarecording and AiM Race Studio 3, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied on real procedures: stripping and measuring gearboxes, calibrating quickshifters on the bench and analysing ratios with telemetry. Assessment is continuous by module plus the final project.
Standards covered: ISO 6336, Regulation (EU) No 168/2013, UNECE Regulation No 60, Delegated Regulation (EU) No 44/2014, FIM technical regulations, JASO T 903.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
