How you'll learn
A 100% online programme on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is NAPA, DNV Nauticus Hull, Maxsurf Stability, Poseidon (DNV), ETAP, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real class survey procedures during construction, stability tests (stability experience), and harbour and sea acceptance trials. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Explain the role of classification societies and the structure of their rules.
Verify the structural requirements for scantlings and longitudinal strength.
Assess intact and damage stability in accordance with subdivision.
Apply class requirements to machinery installation.
Review electrical installations in accordance with IEC 60092.
