How you'll learn
Fully 100 % online training on the SEIUM Institute campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and a dedicated technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it easy to combine with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is QGIS, ALOHA (substance dispersion), advanced Excel, R, @RISK, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Case studies are based on real procedures for dangerous goods route analysis, quantitative risk assessment at intermodal terminals and investigation of transport accident cases. Assessment is continuous by module, plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Identify the risks specific to land and multimodal transport.
Analyse road safety and road accident factors.
Assess rail risk in freight transport.
Apply dangerous goods regulations to risk analysis.
Use qualitative and quantitative risk analysis methods.
