How you'll learn
Fully 100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and a dedicated technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, making it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is CLO3D, Lectra Modaris, MATLAB, LS-DYNA, Gerber AccuMark, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real procedures: analysis of fall signals from commercial systems, abrasion and seam testing in the laboratory, and pattern making and prototyping of airbag garments. Assessment is continuous, module by module, plus a final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Explain how mechanical and electronic airbags work for motorcyclists.
Analyse fall detection algorithms and their error rates.
Design inflation bladders and their integration into garments.
Select technical textiles according to their protective performance.
Plan tests in accordance with EN 1621-4 and EN 17092.
