How you'll learn
Fully 100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and an assigned technical tutor. No fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, making it possible to combine with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, HAPI HL7v2, Gazelle (IHE testing tools), in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real IHE Connectathon procedures, HL7 v2 message validation and XDS profile testing. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Explain levels of healthcare interoperability.
Build and interpret HL7 v2 messages.
Customise HL7 v2 segments and conformance profiles.
Apply the integration profiles of the IHE technical framework.
Implement the exchange of clinical documents using XDS and CDA.
