How you'll learn
Fully 100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable materials, recorded classes and a dedicated technical tutor. There are no fixed timetables: students progress at their own pace within the intake, which makes it possible to combine study with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is OLGA (SLB), Aspen HYSYS, PIPESIM, ECE (Intetech), Python (pandas), in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real corrosion monitoring procedures with coupons and probes, smart pigging pipeline inspection, and flow assurance studies. Assessment is continuous across modules, plus a final integrating project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
Identify flow assurance risks: hydrates, waxes and asphaltenes.
Explain the mechanisms of internal and external corrosion.
Select materials in accordance with NORSOK M-001 and ISO 15156.
Design chemical control and inhibition programmes.
Size cathodic protection systems and coatings.
Where this takes you
