Postgraduate Diploma in ECE 22.06: Testing, Materials and Validation
Online Postgraduate Diploma of 800 hours in ECE 22.06: Testing, Materials and Validation. 8 modules covering UNECE Regulation No. 22 (series 06), UNECE Regulation No. 22 (series 05) and LS-DYNA. Dedicated tutor and open enrolment.
Take the controls.
Run a real engineering trade-off from this programme. Move the sliders, watch the model react in real time and beat the challenge.
What you will be able to do
Interpret the requirements of UNECE Regulation R22.06.
Explain the mechanics of head impact and its injury criteria.
Plan linear and oblique impact tests.
Analyse acceleration signals and calculate HIC and BrIC.
Select materials for the shell, energy-absorbing liner and visor.
Prepare approval dossiers and production conformity documentation.
Evaluate test results to propose design improvements.

How you'll learn
100% online training on the SEIUM campus, with downloadable material, recorded classes and a dedicated technical tutor. No fixed timetable: students progress at their own pace within the intake, making it possible to combine with work.
Each module combines theory, guided reading of the original standard and applied exercises. The working software is LS-DYNA, DIAdem, MATLAB, Abaqus, Minitab, in free, academic or evaluation versions. Tests are studied using real impact test procedures on drop rigs, analysis of acceleration signals and numerical simulation of helmet impact. Assessment is continuous per module plus the final integrative project.
Build it end to end
Your final project follows the real engineering workflow, step by step, reviewed by your tutor.
